I'm the creator of this site and a big Charlotte Brontë fan. My first interaction with C. Brontë was a movie with a scene involving a horse and a road and a forest. I later read a children's abridged copy of Jane Eyre and remembered that scene while reading. I put down C. Bronte in favor of writers like Daphne du Maurier (Rebecca). Little did I know I was still reading work influenced by her. I started reading Jane Austen in 2010 or 2011 and fell in love with 19th century women's literature. Then I read C. Bronte. I was hooked and kept reading what I could find.
